The hotel is a beautiful city hotel with a great design through out the building. The room are a good size with a fantastic bathroom/shower/toilet area and all is well designed. The only thing I didn\'t like about the room was the fact that a double is just two single beds pushes together, which isn\'t great for a couple want to be next to each other whiles in bed. The cleanliness of the hotel and room were very well maintained and what you would expect from a four star hotel. Were this hotel lost it for me was in it service, not by what they offer but by way they offer is. There were two thing that I was disappointed with. I had something order to the room which took so long I ended up going down to get it and only to have someone bring it up 5 minutes after I got back to my room (roughly about 35 minutes), and the other when I went to use the gym facilities in the morning before going out and enjoying the rest of my day. I found out it only opens at 10am till 2pm and then back open at 4:30pm. Which sort of made it a burden to go rather than a easy thing to do before starting the day. I only guess this this why the gym always looked empty

Service and facilities at the Hotel were very good and staff were extremely helpful.
What was a \'major\' concern is the adjacent noise every evening coming from the Razzamataz Disco. There was not one night that we as a family did not have a full night\'s sleep. A further concern was that an unscheduled and unannounced party was held in the pool area on Saturday the 9th. This party started at 3.30pm until 11.00 and the music was extremely repeatitive and loud. This prevented guests who had paid for full use of the hotel, access to the pool with their family. I found this highly unacceptable.
On leaving the hotel we were presented with a Barcelona City tax....... 1.45 Euro per person per day. It seems you now have to pay to be a tourist in Barcelona!! I travel Europe extensively and this was the first time I have been asked to pay a City tax despite spending in excess of 2000 EUR over a period of one week.
Sadly we are unlikely to visit Barcelona again.
