What do guests think about this lodging establishment?

The accommodation received mixed reviews from guests. While some appreciated the friendly staff and cleanliness, others were highly disappointed with the noise levels due to an adjacent nightclub. Several guests complained that the noise from the nightclub made it impossible to sleep and affected the overall quality of their stay. Some mentioned the partying and scenes of intoxicated individuals outside the hotel, which disrupted their rest and made it difficult to relax. Although the rooms were described as spacious and well-decorated, the noise issue overshadowed these positive aspects for many guests. It is advised that potential guests who prioritize a peaceful stay and uninterrupted sleep should be cautious when considering this accommodation.

    Dublin

Unfortunately we didn't read the reviews prior to our stay, most hotels provide little toiletries, coffee sachets etc..we should have wised up when we saw earplugs provided..I can confirm we tested them out at 3.20 in the morning, useless against the booming music and kicking out time noise that was vaguely reminiscent of our old times on Spanish strips in our youth. Saying that, if you are young, it's perfect , the night club looked brilliant and we had such a great time in the pubs around Dublin it didn't wreck our trip

IDEAL HOTEL IF YOU DON'T NEED TO SLEEP
    Martin - Nov 16, 2023

Well, I didn't scroll down to read the reviews before I booked my four nights there. Destinia's description of Russell Court Hotel needs to make clear that it is actually three popular nightclubs with a hotel attached. One above the hotel, one in the basement and another was outside the hotel - outside my window, as my room was in the rear of the hotel. THE CLUBS ARE OPEN EVERY SINGLE NIGHT OF THE WEEK, STAY OPEN ALL NIGHT AND INTO THE EARLY HOURS OF THE MORNING. Hotel guests apparently need to understand that they are there for the benefit of the nightclub owners who also happen to run a "hotel". I will find somewhere else next time I go to Dublin, so that I can have an enjoyable stay.

I would write more, but the sleep deprivation is still affecting me three days later.

My opinion about this hotel Russell Court
    Lisa - Sep 28, 2014

Does what it says on the tin. Read reviews first as not suitable for families and relaxation. Has a nightclub in the hotel and was very noisy but was fine for us as we knew that. Service was average. Rooms were outdated and needing refurb buy were clean and bed was comfy. We had a separate sitting room which had a old TV with no digi channels. Would of been good to have a TV in bedroom too. Breakfast nice and a average size.

    My opinion about this hotel
    Tuula - Jun 16, 2008

The hotel is beautifully located and has some old world charm. Unfortunately the first room we got had a bad smell. it was evident there was mould in the room. When requested we were given another room which was to our satisfaction until the beer garden started to be crowded. The noise was terrible and without the earplugs that the hotel provided us with it would have been quite impossible to sleep. On Friday night the fire alarm went off twice! Fortunately they turned out to be false alarms but nevertheless we were woken at 1 am and at 4 am. I think it would be a good idea to warn travellers about the noise from the street as well as the noise from the beer garden that went on beyond midnight.
