8,8My opinion about this hotel Nova AmsterdamCdr. Miguel - 16 Feb 2015
Pluses: centrally located (excellent), breakfast is just great, clean throughout, nicely renovated, free wifi throughout, hotel computers and printer!
Minuses: torn sheets, over-used mattresses with springs puncturing your sleep! complimented with bed bugs!
With all this being said...I still recommend it
9,2My opinion about this hotel Nova AmsterdamMalcolm - 11 Jan 2015
A very good hotel in great location for £62 a night
POSITIVES Good price and size of room (for Amsterdam), attractive, modern, good breakfast and location.
NEGATIVES Topping up of some breakfast items, the sub titles on the TV.
SUMMARY Overall we were delighted with our stay for the very good price of £62 a night including breakfast. The hotel is very good in many ways, particularly location, quality of food, the size of the spacious room and the good and friendly staff.
We stayed for 4 nights in January 2015. The ground floor room (number 1) was spacious, modern, clean and well set out. The room had a table and chair area, a wardrobe with electronic safe, twin beds, and a first class bathroom with a great spacious shower. Toiletries were provided. There was a medium sized LCD TV which had some English channels including BBC 1 and 2 it kept showing sub titles and I found a trick way of getting rid of them it was not obvious how to do this from the remote and the staff member I asked had no more ideas.
Breakfast was the same every day a quality provision with the usual help yourself continental offering. Juices, tea and coffee, some fruit, yoghurt and a great fresh fruit salad. Rolls, cheese, ham, scrambled or boiled eggs, streaky bacon, cakes, toast, jams including chocolate pieces and spread, etc, etc. The odd item was not topped up the bacon quickly went and by 9.30 had gone. Breakfast was up to 10.30a.m. and was good by any standard.
The room was cleaned every day and we found the staff particularly very helpful. We slept well every night.
The free wifi worked well on all of our devices.
There was no tea/coffee in the room but it could be purchased near reception for 1.
All in all we would give them 9 out of 10 and strongly recommend the hotel as a good place to stay in a good place to have a decent holiday and would certainly stay again. We booked with destina.com.
