Business hours of reception: 24 hours Set within the magnificent architecture of Edinburgh's city centre (a Georgian residential area), the Nira Caledonia, offers the finest accommodation to those who are passing and those who are visiting the city´s delightful atmosphere. The hotel is centrally located within the most exclusive part of Edinburgh’s City Centre. It takes five minutes to walk from Princess Street and is next to the business district of Charolotte Square. All bedrooms have double or king sized beds with Philippe Starck bathrooms, which are fully tiled in slate stone and have LED mood lighting. All furniture and antiquities have been specially imported from China. We use only Hungarian goose down blankets and Dunlopillow latex pillows. All our rooms are non smoking rooms. The hotel offers a Restaurant called "Bacchus", which is elegantly designed in black and gold. Our chef creates only fresh, regional dishes, prepared with local products offering international taste. The hotel has a bar with a full drinks license and after midnight the night porter can serve drinks after hours. Our guests are welcome to use the Leisure Club at the "Caledonian Hotel" on Princes Street which is fully equipped with a large Swimming Pool, Gym and Beauty treatments. Business hours of reception:

Getting there: Airlink 100 offers express bus services running approximately every 10 minutes between the bus station (adjacent to the airport terminal) and the centre of Edinburgh. An open-return ticket costs £5. The N22 night bus runs from midnight to 4 AM. Taxis are available from a taxi rank adjacent to the airport terminal and typically cost £16 to the hotel. Edinburgh's main railway station, Waverley, is half a mile from the hotel. All prices subject to change.
Driving directions: From Edinburgh Airport, follow the signs towards the city centre. Upon arriving on Princes Street, as soon as you see the castle on the right, turn left on Charlotte Square. At the end of the street, turn right onto Queen Street then take the first left and then the next first left onto Heriot Row. Turn right into India Street at the end of which is Gloucester Place, where the hotel is situated.
Getting around: Edinburgh has a good local bus network running throughout the city and the Lothian region. City bus tours have hop-on, hop-off stops all over Edinburgh. Black cabs can be hailed in the street. The cobbled streets of the historic centre are best explored on foot. The city centre has various complicated one-way systems, and driving is not recommended for visitors. From Waverley train station there are regular trains to Glasgow and most major cities in Scotland and England
